The HIMSS Interoperability Showcase obtained high visibility and its largest presence ever at HIMSS10 Annual Conference with over one acre of exhibit space and nearly 5,000 visitors. The Showcase featured 84 participants that demonstrated 96 unique systems. Each of the 50+ clinical scenarios shown in the connected demonstration highlighted a proposed metric for achieving Meaningful Use.
Key Statistics from HIMSS10 Interoperability Showcase:
New this year was the collaboration between the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase and the Federal Health Architecture’s Connect project demonstrating advanced technology that allows the exchange of information between government entities and the private sector. Dr. David Blumenthal, MD, MPP, National Coordinator for Health Information Technology at HHS also visited the Showcase and briefly addressed the participants and visitors.
